On this occasion, president handed welcome PASSPORT, welcoming guests and introduced them to the work of the municipality. "Palilula Municipality has exercised decentralized cooperation with France for several years. It is a form of cooperation that is primarily intended for informing people, governance, culture and people of the local government, stated President Džunić. The long-term goal of this cooperation is to support exchange visits but also a common approach to European funds. With the city Dulene in France, Palilula signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The credit certainly belongs to the students and teachers of high school "Svetozar Markovic" and the Lyceum in Dulene who 6 years ago (2008) established exchanges and co-operation in order that our students have the opportunity to enrich the knowledge of the French language through contact with their peers, to socialize and work on joint projects. President Boban Džunić spoke about the activities of the elementary school "Kralj Petar I" who have established cooperation with the College of the Bagel-area from Gironde in France, which the City of Nis in 2012 has signed cooperation protocol with. Last month, as apart of Francophone day, there was a promotion of the work of students of two schools, on the theater project "The Little Prince" at the National Theatre in Nis-stressed Džunić. This is our cooperation with France which becomes larger and today we had the opportunity to meet dear guests from Austria. On the cooperation of Grammar school "Svetozar Markovic" with educational institutions abroad, schools HAK HAS, Ybbs in Austria and "Lycee de L'Authie" from the city Dulene (Doullens) in France and the support that Palilula Municipality provides to this program, spoke Olga Dragojlović, Director of this High School from Nis. Serbia is in the words of students from France and Austria, a very beautiful country, more agreeable than expected. "We met new friends and sights of your city. Learning Serbian language is very interesting”. Impression of guest from the ranks of teachers is that our education system lacks more practical work, but the situation has improved significantly in recent years. The cooperation program is scheduled with a tour of Pirot and other sights in the region.
